Honoria Brown (b. 1996) is an artist based in Bristol, UK. Her oil paintings and poetry explore the fluid interplay between lucid internal and external worlds. Particularly interested in sleep as a form of “creative dissociation”, her practice centres on examining how emotion and memory can influence conscious and automatic perception.

Raised on a farm in Northumberland, Brown originally studied Veterinary Medicine at the University of Cambridge. After leaving the profession and relocating to Bristol, she went on to develop her distinctive surreal style on salvaged wood while living and working from a warehouse studio. Alongside her practice in Bristol, Brown now works to support collaboration between universities and local organisations.

Brown's recent major project, Thirteen Nightmares, sought to open a dialogue around the collective yet intensely private language of dreams and nightmares. It was presented as a solo exhibition at The Mount Without (2026) and in group exhibition Each Thread at Spirited (2026).
